The KML Story & Difference
Willie Wanker, president of KML, (pictured right with wife, Viola) purchased KML in 1995. Under Willie’s guidance, KML continues to lead the way in the world of decorative surfaces and panels while providing incomparable customer service.
KML has grown from a single laminating press that produced about 600 panels a day to currently running two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Tacoma, WA and Stockton, CA, producing more than 4,000 panels daily.
In addition, KML still services customers with smaller runs of any number of the 800 patterns and textures, edge banding and machined parts.
Under Willie’s determined guidance, the company evolved from a small, regional operation to a nationally known manufacturer using seven presses for high quality mass production and challenging custom projects that include machining, curved edges and now exciting new textured finishes.
As KML grows and expands its offerings, it maintains its early passion for innovation and customer service – the very characteristics that are sure to continue to carry KML forward in the decades to come.
